Cseke Gábor Trio feat. Ludányi Tamás: Dave Brubeck est

Cseke Gábor Trio feat. Ludányi Tamás: Dave Brubeck est

The phenomenal pianist Gábor Cseke is going to interpret the music of the late, great Dave Brubeck. Gábor is an amazingly versatile artist, a true master of his instrument and an original composer. He is a key member of the Modern Art Orchestra. In a previous role in the Budapest Jazz Orchestra, he played with Peter Erskine and David Liebman as well. He was wildly received at the 2005 London Jazz Festival when he was the pianist with the Next Generation. His trio usually accompanies the visiting British artists here. In the “role” of the late Paul Desmond, you’ll have the brilliant young alto-sax player, Tamás Ludányi. Tamás made his first massive impression on Budapest jazz lovers when he appeared at the 2017 Jazz Showcase at the Palace of Arts and his own quartet won straight away the jury prize by unanimous vote. The jury had the British flautist and alto-player, Steve Rubie in its ranks who happens to be the owner of London’s legendary 606 Club. He offered Tamás immediately a gig in his club that turned out to be a roaring success in the very same year. The rhythm section will be completed by Gábor Cseke’ outstanding regular young companions from the Modern Art Orchestra that was voted the Big Band of the Year by the critics of Magyar Jazz: ÁDÁM BÖGÖTHY on bass and LÁSZLÓ CSÍZI on the drums.
