A record number of awards were presented this year on February 1, marking the closing of the MÜPA JAZZ SHOWCASE.
Held for the nineteenth time, this year’s Jazz Showcase was once again a special event. Central Europe’s most significant jazz talent exchange opened its doors even wider as part of the Hungarian–Serbian cultural season. The international jury voted on-site, while the audience could cast their votes online for their favorites, who—thanks to Müpa and its cooperating partners—were granted numerous awards in the form of additional performance opportunities.
Zoltán Susszer (Jazzart Public Foundation) presented the prize offered by the Budapest Jazz Club to the Tacet Jazz Quintet. The award includes a performance opportunity at BJC combined with a professional audio recording.v
