Budapest Jazz Orchestra feat. Chuck Israels
Founded in 1998, the Budapest Jazz Orchestra is Hungary’s first professional continuously operating big band. Starting from the traditions of the big band genre, the BJO’s productions have traced the development of jazz from the 1920s to contemporary jazz. In recent years the orchestra has performed with internationally acclaimed artists such as George Duke, Joe Lovano, Peter Erskine, Jane Monheit and Ken Peplowski. The star guest of this special occasion is Grammy Award-winning bassist Chuck Israels, known to wider audiences from the legendary Bill Evans Trio.
