Following its launch in 2007, the Budapest Jazz Club quickly became a defining venue of the jazz scene and a vibrant cultural hub. The club has earned international recognition thanks to its series featuring world-renowned artists, as well as its free Jam Session evenings—held five times a week and unique in Europe. Alongside these two flagship series, in the final year before reaching adulthood, the musical evenings of the Encore! series—spotlighting well-known Hungarian stage actors—also continued, while on Sundays, once a month, musical theatre, improvisational theatre, and family programs were also included in the club’s repertoire. In addition to all of the above, jazz has naturally remained the club’s primary focus, as evidenced by the fact that in 2025 the audience could encounter representatives of the genre at more than 650 concerts, ranging from formations made up of young musicians from the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music, through the most renowned Hungarian artists, to large-scale big band performances.

The worthy celebration of the eighteenth birthday—and the now customary festival atmosphere—will be guaranteed by two outstanding ensembles, followed by a Jam Session.
