Budapest Jazz Orchestra feat. Mats Holmquist
BJO believes in the importance of making the music available to the jazz-loving audience, to show them how it has changed and evolved in the past decades, and to introduce them to the various performers who are considered as milestones in this style of music.
Swedish composer, arranger, big band leader, lecturer, author Mats Holmquist has travelled the globe and has performed and released several albums with musicians such as Dave Liebman, The Vanguard Orchestra, Randy Brecker, and many others. His music is very much appreciated worldwide, especially in the US, where his albums were produced.
He is also known for his unique methodology, which he has written down in his book The General Method.
With Budapest Jazz Orchestra, the audience can expect an exciting night, where his interpretations of Herbie Hancock's music will be heard.
