At the Budapest Jazz Club this year, we welcome guests celebrating the New Year with us with a buffet dinner featuring carefully prepared French and fusion dishes, outstanding jazz formations in the genre, and a Latin fiesta lasting until dawn. We welcome our guests arriving for our New Year's Eve program with airy rows of chairs in our concert hall, while the café and bistro have spaces furnished for informal standing receptions.
The host of the evening, master of ceremonies for the midnight toast and the post-midnight raffle, is Péter Janklovics!
The band performs mainly jazz standards with the full emotional intensity typical of young musicians, while demonstrating a particularly refined sense of style. With their light-hearted performance, they invite the audience into the swing and bebop world of the ’40s, ’50s, and ’60s, making the journey even more exciting with their own arrangements.
Noémi Nagy – vocals, Balázs Horváth – piano, Gézu Jónás – double bass, Tamás Fazekas – drums

BUDAPEST RAGTIME BAND
Budapest Ragtime Band, one of the most prestigious ensemble in the Hungarian traditional jazz scene, was formed in 1980. The band’s goal is to preserve the traditions of ragtime music while also presenting, keeping alive, and popularizing various traditional American music genres. On this occasion, they will also select from the fitting songs of their latest series, which features hits from popular American animated movies.
Ferenc Gayer – band leader, bass, Krisztián Csapó – vocals, trombone, Tivadar Varga – piano, Sándor Csárics – trumpet, József Széki – xylophone, percussion, vocals, Tibor Antal – violin, János Wesely – drums
The popular singer, joined by the Bakary Trio, presents her best-known compositions—this time in a fresh, reimagined form. Inspired by her Afro-Cuban roots, the songs feature an exciting new sound created by the combination of effect-driven guitar and drums accompanying her authentic voice. Their music is vibrant and full of Latin energy, with young instrumentalists performing with great passion, while Elsa sets the atmosphere ablaze with her signature charisma.
Elsa Valle – vocals, Bálint Petz – guitar, Viktor Hárs – double bass, Zsolt Mádai – drums
