Söndörgő

Söndörgő brings together the power of traditional music, the refinement of classical music, the energy of rock and the influence of Bartók’s musical thinking. With more than three decades behind them, they have become one of Hungary’s most internationally recognised world music ensembles.

Rooted in South Slavic musical traditions, their distinctive sound is built around the tambura, complemented by wind instruments and accordion. For Söndörgő, tradition is not something to be preserved unchanged, but a living musical language: a source of inspiration that can be continuously reshaped while retaining its original character and depth.
