After the successful weekend jam sessions, Budapest Jazz Club now welcomes everyone to the new Thursday jams!

The Elemer Balázs Group, one of Hungary’s most popular jazz band was founded in 2000 by Elemér Balázs, the internationally widely recognized and popular jazz drummer.

Each Wednesday, a different trio of talented young musicians is in charge of good vibes, and they welcome the audience to take part in their game.

In 2026, the Budapest Jazz Orchestra presents a selection from Dániel Mester’s Storytelling Night (2024) and Miklós Birta’s On The Road (2026), alongside works by some of the most iconic figures of international big band music. With this program, the ensemble will perform at multiple venues throughout the year.

The emerging guitarist, Varga, achieved first place at the IV. National Jazz Competition in 2019. Also in 2019, he triumphed at the Laureate World-Jazz Competition, and in 2020, he was awarded the Ablakos Lakatos Dezső Performance Scholarship.
