The Hungarian Jazz Association announces the Dandó Péter Memorial Jazz Bass Guitar Competition for young jazz musicians. Dandó was one of the first in Hungary to represent the modern jazz bass guitar style pioneered by Jaco Pastorius. The age limit for entry is 30 years.

In 2023, Szabolcs won first place in the "Creativ Art" improvisation competition founded by György Vukán and was awarded the Talentum Hungaricum scholarship. In 2024, he received the Professional Award for Jazz Talent of the Year.

The Hungarian Jazz Association is supporting Hungarian musicians with a 4-part lecture series, as part of which participants can gain up-to-date knowledge. The lectures are aimed at musicians, as well as all music industry players and music lovers who would like to broaden their perspectives and enrich their knowledge with an informal, interactive series, regardless of age or musical style.

In 2018, the Sárik Péter Trio released their first album featuring Bartók adaptations, which was introduced at the Grand Hall of the Liszt Academy of Music.

The band's sound world is contemporary jazz based on Bartók's traditions, which draws from the American jazz avant-garde of the 60s, using elements of folk music, bop, and swing. In addition to these, his most characteristic features are the grotesque-ironic tone and audience-friendly humor.
