After the successful weekend jam sessions, Budapest Jazz Club now welcomes everyone to the new Thursday jams!

On this special evening, the audience will be captivated by the latest ensemble of Mihály Dresch, recipient of the Kossuth, Liszt, and Fonogram Awards. 

Each Wednesday, a different trio of talented young musicians is in charge of good vibes, and they welcome the audience to take part in their game.

The band’s leader, guitarist Norbert Szakáll, has been an active figure in the Hungarian jazz scene since the early 1990s. Throughout his career, he has performed in numerous national and international formations and collaborated with some of the genre’s most outstanding artists.

Spontaneous & joyful open jam nights of The Liszt Academy of Music’s amazingly talented young musicians every Tuesday.

The duo of Myrtill Micheller and Tibor Pintér, successful for over ten years, performs monthly at the BJC. Their repertoire primarily consists of jazz standards, evergreens, and jazzy adaptations of pop songs.

The Tilia band was founded by Róza Hárs in 2022 with the aim of bringing her songs to life in a full band setting.

Unlike usual, as the closing event of the UNESCO Jazz Fest, we also welcome an audience open to joyful jam sessions on Sunday evening.

The resident big band of the Budapest Jazz Club is made up of some of Hungary’s finest musicians and is led by trumpeter Dávid Csizmadia. For this concert, eight core members of the BJC Big Band will perform in a special formation.

On this evening, the Budapest Jazz Club will come alive once again! The Révész Richárd Latin Quartet will be joined by special guests: Cuban singer Yulaysi Miranda and the virtuoso flutist Elizabeth Herrera, also of Cuban origin.

Christian Garrick is an award winning British jazz violinist, composer and bandleader. He has recorded numerous solo albums, one of which was named Jazz Album of the Year.
