Allison Neale & Cseke Gábor Trio

Unique on the UK jazz scene, Seattle born alto-sax player Allison Neale’s beautifully crafted lines evoke the spirit of Paul Desmond and Art Pepper with whom she has a particular affinity. As a strong advocate of the melodic West Coast jazz style she is widely regarded as one of the finest exponents on today’s scene. We wanted to feature her last year on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Dave Brubeck's birth when she would have played Paul Desmond alongside with the great Hungarian pianist, Gábor Cseke's Dave Brubeck. This was paid put by the pandemic but they will play together this time. Allison's debut album, Melody Express in 2004 was listed among the ten best jazz records of the year by the Observer jazz critic, Dave Gelly. Her recent fourth album features the world famous New York guitarist, Peter Bernstein and the legendary bass player, Dave Green. At her Budapest debut Barcza-Horváth József will play the bass and György Jeszenszky the drums.
