The RSS’s repertoire is diverse, blending elements of jazz, Bulgarian folk music, contemporary styles, and funk— enriched by unique arrangements and the inspiring connection between the musicians.

The two great and prestigious seats of musical learning, the Franz Liszt Music Hochschule in Weimar and the Ferenc Liszt Acadmy of Music in Budapest not only share the name of the great composer whose name they honour but also their love of jazz.

The East Gipsy Band is made up by some of the established stars of the contemporary Hungarian jazz scene.

“Playground” was established by drummer Márton Juhász in 2011, with the aim to create a friendly place where musicians and students can explore the most pulsating music of the world.

At the season-opening concert of Harmónia Jazzworkshop, a wonderful Hungarian jazz guitarist's trio will be joined by a special guest artist to kick off the season in style.

The phenomenal British pianist Tim Lampthorn leads one of the best piano trios in the UK and also plays piano in groups led by, amongst others, singer Ian Shaw, bassist Arnie Somogyi and more.
