BJC Big Band has been formed by the greatest Hungarian jazz musicians. Many of their performed songs will be first played in the country.

Varga Bendegúz’s new album, released in the spring of 2026, is a concept record on which the bandleader selected some of the most important songs of the Seattle grunge rock movement that flourished in the early 1990s, reimagining them through the musical language of modern mainstream jazz.

With his Trio, Premecz Mátyás, primarily performs his own compositions, in which elements of jazz, blues, and funk are tastefully blended.

Dig It All, a team founded by the art teachers of the Jazz Department of the LFZE, plays a fusion of jazz and various electronic music styles on the stage of the BJC.

The band’s repertoire, with its uniquely colorful palette, continuously evolves through exciting rehearsals and collaborative creative work in addition to their own compositions.

On their latest album, the bandleader’s compositions are enriched by distinctive melodic contours, sensitive harmonies and personal interpretation, as well as the trio’s high-level musicianship — yet perhaps their greatest strength is the accessibility they maintain despite all the sophistication.

Tzumo Gypsy Dreams presents us with a complex and exciting musical world in which the latest compositions of Tzumo, based on the ‚roma’ soundscape with African-American, flamenco and oriental style features, but dressed in the guise of jazz, are played.

The Elemer Balázs Group, one of Hungary’s most popular jazz band was founded in 2000 by Elemér Balázs, the internationally widely recognized and popular jazz drummer.

In addition to his success in jazz, Balázs József is considered as a recognised orchestrator and composer in other genres as well.
