The quartet was formed in the late 1990s with vocalist Tardy Zsófia, guitarist Csikós Attila, double bassist Oláh Péter, and drummer Bágyi Balázs. They performed together for nearly a decade across Hungary and in several major European cities.

Anything can happen on the weekend jam nights when the most popular Hungarian musicians create random formations and play true bebop to entertain the audience.

Krisztián Lakatos Pecek started playing the bass at the age of 9. In 2003, at the age of 13, he won the Magyar Rádió jazz bass competition, where the jury was chaired by John Patitucci. At this concert, he will be joined by excellent fellow musicians, József Balázs on piano, while András Lakatos Pecek will play on drums.

A themed evening in the long-running club concert series of the FARKAS GÁBRIEL BAND, a jazz formation with a history spanning several decades. On the first day of September, the music of one of America’s greatest jazz legends, 17-time Grammy Award winner Tony Bennett, takes center stage. 

On this evening, the orchestra's guest will be one of the busiest and most successful jazz vocalists, a regular performer on both Hungarian and international jazz stages, Nikoletta Szőke. 

In autumn 2026, Budapest Jazz Club will once again host Cult in Glass’s best-known event series: the 26th edition of Glass of Jazz. As always, outstanding Hungarian wineries and fantastic jazz musicians will come together to create all the ingredients for a truly special evening.

Vladimir Kostadinović is one of the most remarkable drummers and composers on the contemporary European jazz scene, whose career has gained significant international momentum in recent years. The Budapest concert promises to be a truly special occasion, as several world-class artists join Kostadinović's ensemble.

Andy Sheppard’s career began with extraordinary momentum: just three weeks after first picking up the saxophone, he made his stage debut, and within only a few years he was already touring Europe’s jazz clubs and concert halls.

The programme draws on material from Special EFX's 1986 album Slice of Life and Djabe's landmark 2005 album Slices of Life, presenting these compositions in fresh arrangements and new interpretations.
