The trio will play Thelonius Monk’s songs mostly, with some own compositions and standards also.

This night is the reunition of four extremely talented and elegant young Hungarian musicians, who are all currently living abroad.

The music of this trio respecting the mainstream roots of jazz. To make their performance even deeper, a well-known Hungarian songstress will accompany them this evening.

Krisztián was still only 20 when he came third at the prestigious Montreux Jazz Festival. Within the next two years he won five different awards. 

The duo is an interesting and fun match. Kanizsa Gina is a celebrated vocalist who is mostly involved in a capella, and Lamm Dávid is a virtuoso guitarist who feels comfortable in any style of jazz.

Andrew and Tamás met for the first and, so far, only time when in the autumn of 2017 Andrew accompanied at London’s fame 606 Club the visiting young Hungarian alto star.

The band has held an outstandingly successful show in the 606 Club in London, which led to a regular Hungarian-British jazz performance exchange program. 

The East Gipsy Band is made up by some of the established stars of the contemporary Hungarian jazz scene. 

The band is the latest stage in the twentyseven year-long cooperation between the two soloist-composers. Most of their refined repertoire consists of originals but they play jazz standards as well.
