The emerging guitarist, Varga, achieved first place at the IV. National Jazz Competition in 2019. Also in 2019, he triumphed at the Laureate World-Jazz Competition, and in 2020, he was awarded the Ablakos Lakatos Dezső Performance Scholarship.

Lilla Orbay is not among the “big names” yet, but she already draws great audiences. This brilliant young outfit of hers presents refreshingly original variations on great jazz standards.

The Cuban singer Elsa Valle, who lives in Hungary and is known for her vibrant energy, always performs with a fitting accompaniment.

Richárd Révész is one of the most talented pianist of this country. With his band he plays real jazzy latin vibes.

The explosively talented young saxophonist, Soso Lakatos Sándor, has been performing publicly since the age of twelve. At fifteen, he was the star soloist of the Next Generation youth ensemble organized under the auspices of Hungarian Radio.

The Balkan Jazz Project is the latest formation assembled by Mihaly Borbely for which he has picked the most like-minded musicians.

Out of nowhere, this foursome of brilliantly gifted young music students appeared at last year’s prestigious AVL-Érd Jazz Festival and managed to bring the house down. That’s good enough reason for us to put them on stage.

Róbert Szakcsi Lakatos, pianist won a wide range of prizes in different musical competitions, such as he was the best pianist in Krakow, the winner of the Montreux Jazz Festival in 2000.
