Tzumo Gypsy Dreams presents us with a complex and exciting musical world in which the latest compositions of Tzumo, based on the ‚roma’ soundscape with African-American, flamenco and oriental style features, but dressed in the guise of jazz, are played.

Desmond, born a hundred years ago made his name and fame with the Dave Brubeck Quartet and that’s why people tend to overlook the wonderful music he made with the musically likeminded trumpeter, Chet Baker.

This evening will be all about the guitar - three of the best Hungarian guitarists will be on stage.

The Jazz-stargazer series focuses on promising young talents playing certain instruments. This occasion, we can listen to the future stars of the guitar.

Bolba Éva is an immensely popular performer who creates a happy, carefree atmosphere wherever she appears.

The style and musical world of the Tűzkő Salamon Quintet is based on the essential rhythmic basis of jazz, swing.

Saxophonist Iain Ballamy, who burst into the spotlight in the 1980s and now a star of ECM. He was the first jazz musician to win the Paul Hamlyn Composer Award. The award-winning pianist-composer Dániel Szabó, who is highly respected both at home and abroad, has released numerous successful jazz albums in collaboration with world-renowned artists such as Peter Erskine, Chris Potter, and Kurt Rosenwinkel. 

All members of the quartet are among the best in their genre. The leader of the group plays a whole arsenal of reed instruments. 

The band leader and members demonstrate meticulous elaboration in the composition and orchestration of their pieces, characterized by a cohesive emotional and atmospheric charge. 

The East Gipsy Band is made up by some of the established stars of the contemporary Hungarian jazz scene. 

Urbán Orsi is one of the outstanding jazz singers in Hungary. With her natural radiance and immediately identifiable, deep, powerful voice she creates a fantastic atmosphere.

The formation, including five brilliant musicians, plays songs of the one and only John Coltrane as well as original material.

The members of the all-star lineup are connected by thirty years of friendship and numerous successful concerts. Their repertoire includes well-known jazz standards and original compositions.
