The duo of Myrtill Micheller and Tibor Pintér, successful for over ten years, performs monthly at the BJC. Their repertoire primarily consists of jazz standards, evergreens, and jazzy adaptations of pop songs.

The scholarship is named after the Hungairan Lakatos Ablakos Dezső, who was an outstanding personality in the history of jazz.

Fronted by two trombones this quintet partly models itself on the similar formation led by the great Kai Winding and JJ Johnson but also uses arrangements of Frank Rosolino, Bill Watrous or Carl Fontana.
