After the successful weekend jam sessions, Budapest Jazz Club now welcomes everyone to the new Thursday jams!

For decades, the band has been consistently and confidently pursuing its own path with an individual blend of Hungarian folk music and Afroamerican jazz. 

Each Wednesday, a different trio of talented young musicians is in charge of good vibes, and they welcome the audience to take part in their game.

The formation recalls the musical legacy of Victor Bailey, who gave a still memorable concert at the BJC in 2011.

Spontaneous & joyful open jam nights of The Liszt Academy of Music’s amazingly talented young musicians every Tuesday.

The amusing way they perform evergreens and standards attracts a huge audience every month, and has a large number of frequenters.

Authentic bossa nova vibes from Brasil, intimate, light tunes with traditional bossa rhythm.

Heléna recorded her first songs in 2011, and in 2016 she released her first LP with the title ‚Invisible’. Since 2017, she has been working with her own band, from songwriting to stage production.

The group started working professionally in 1990, and  has  been  recognised  from  the  beginning by audience and critics alike as one of the best young European mainstream jazz trio.

The music of the quartet, which plays mainstream jazz, can be classified as hard bop, which was represented by such legendary artists as Wayne Shorter, Joe Henderson and John Coltrane.
